World Ocean Observatory is organized as a virtual enterprise to maximize the efficiencies of the Internet--our small staff has no office and very little overhead. We are committed to delivering independent programs and responsible services to the ocean community worldwide at the lowest possible cost, and to minimize operational expense whenever possible. To that end, we cap our non-programmatic administrative overhead at no more than 2% of funds raised.

Contributions are administered as restricted funds by the Ocean Classroom Foundation, a US IRS qualified 501(c)3 organization, are audited annually, and are tax-deductible under applicable law.
